a Concert of Musicals & Proms to 'Salute Our Heroes' at
The Gala Theatre, Durham.

Book Launch, Three Course Dinner & Concert - was
held at Rainton Meadows Arena, Houghton-Le- Spring, Tyne & Wear
DH2 5PH, and the
book 'My Son The Enemy' was launched - all profit from book sales
will be donated jointly in
aid of 'Help for Heroes' and the 'Army Benevolent Fund'. Northumbria
Branch RSStG is supporting this charitable effort. Anyone

service.

addresses members of the Rotary Club of Whickham Clavering, and
their wives, on the legend of St George & the Dragon,
and The Royal Society of St George, at the Club's 'St George
theme' evening meeting.

Lunch at the Restaurant of Fern Avenue Masonic
Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne. An excellent luncheon organised by
our member Mr Eric Pyke.

the successful the
launch of David Hughes' book 'My Son The Enemy' three
months ago - at a luncheon held by the Rotary
Club of Chester-le-Street, Sir Paul

Lieutenant
for
County
Durham, presented cheques of £6,500 each to Representatives
of the Service charities 'Help for Heroes' and the 'Army Benevolent
Fund'
respectively, monies raised at the book launch and by subsequent
sales of the book. The Rotary Club of Chester-le-Street gratefully thanks everyone
who has purchased a copy of the book in aid of these two charities.
